Denise Shirley Chatfield was born on December 11, 1964 to the late Bryant and Shirley Chatfield in Queens, New York.  She departed her life on April 29, 2024 at Maria Parham Health in Henderson, North Carolina.

Dense was educated in Queens County School System.  She was a small retail business owner with her sister in Queens, New York.

She enjoyed visiting churches in Queens, New York and in Norlina, North Carolina areas.  She was a big fan of gospel music and her favorite songs were "Amazing Grace" and "The Old Rugged Cross".  She loved reading bible scriptures daily.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bryant and Shirley Chatfield; siblings, Theodore Chatfield, Sandra Chambers, Sharon Chatfield, Sean Chatfield and a nephew, Louis Chatfield.

Denise leaves to cherish her memories a devoted husband, Bubba Chisolm of the home; two daughters, Auntrea Chatfield and Stacey Chatfield both of New York ; three sister, Shameeka Chatfield of Atlanta, Georgia, Natarsha Chatfield of New Jersey, Melissa Johnson of North Carolina; four  brothers, Derrick Chatfield, Brian Chatfield, Timothy Chatfield all of New York and Tyrone Johnson of North Carolina ; six grandchildren; one in-law, Dena Chatfield; a host of nieces and nephews and a large group of cousins and those whom she held close to her heart.

Graveside Services will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2024 at Blacknall Cemetery, Henderson, North Carolina at 11:00 a.m.
