Mr. Eugene "Voodoo" Alston was born March 1, 1955 in Vance County to the late Percy E. Alston and Ola Mae Alston.  He gained his wings on May 22, 2022 at Duke Medical Center.

He was married to Evelyn Alston for 42 years and to this union two children were born, Latisha Alston Smith and Eugene Lamont Alston. Three grandchildren, Jalon Alston, La'Tavis Eaton and Summer Smith.

Viewing will be held at Baskerville Funeral Home Chapel,104 S. Chestnut Street in Henderson, North Carolina on Friday, May 27, 2022 at noon to 6:00 p.m.

Service will be held at  St. Andrews Christian Church, 203 Mulberry Street, Henderson, NC on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.

Interment: Elmwood Cemetery , Breckenridge Street, Henderson, NC
