Georgia Hicks Sanders, first child of the late John Edward Hicks and Mattie Taylor Hicks, was born on February 21, 1940, in Vance County, North Carolina.  She peacefully departed this life on February16, 2025.

On January 24, 1964, Georgia was joined in holy matrimony to Martin Douglas Sanders. from this union four children were born:  Sharon, Ronald, Dennis, and Lisa.

Georgia was preceded in death by her husband Martin Sanders, a sister, Alice and a brother, John.

Left with many memories are children, Sharon, Ronald, Dennis, and Lisa; twelve grandchildren; Lisa, Denise, Danielle, Brandon, Sean, Sara, Lamar, Dennis, Danielle, Brandon, Sean, Sara, Lamar, Dennis II, Ronald II, Damian, Ebonee, Twenty-one great grandchildren; niece, Keisha; nephew, Glenn Hicks, and a host of friends.

A family gathering will be held on February 22, 2025, at 611 Foxborough Lane, Henderson NC 27536
