Helen Irene Harris was born November 18, 1948 to the late Samuel and Rosa Mae Young Harris in Franklin County, North Carolina.  She departed her life on November 9, 2020 at Maria Parham Health in Henderson, North Carolina.

She was educated in the Franklin County School System. Helen was employed with the University of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia until 2008 upon her retirement.  She relocated to North Carolina in July 2020.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Rosa Mae Young Harris and siblings; Linda Rhem, Gloria Harris, Terry Harris and Celesta Harris.

She enjoyed spending time with her family and all the entertainment from her family. She especially loved to spend time with her granddaughter (Lil Fox),

She leaves to cherish her memories two sons, Clarence J. Harris (Tondra) of Henderson, North Carolina and Tony Harris of Augusta, Georgia; one granddaughter R'monii C. Harris of Augusta, Georgia; a very special companion of fifty-two years, Willie Sullivan of Augusta, Georgia; two brothers, Johnny E. Harris of Perth Amboy, New Jersey and Dexter Harris (Lesia) of Henderson, North Carolina; three sisters, Doris M. Dunston (Stanley) of Louisburg, North Carolina, Peggy A. Harris of Henderson, North Carolina and Nicole C. Harris (John) of Bronx, New York and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives, and friends.

Viewing will be held from noon to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Baskerville Funeral Home Chapel at 104 S. Chestnut Street Henderson, North Carolina.

Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Baskerville Funeral Home Chapel and interment will follow at Blacknall  Cemetery.

Due to the Coronavirus-19, masks and physical distancing requirements will be in place.
