K'Son
Thorpe
Dec 29, 1995 — Jan 9, 2023
Chapel Hill
K'Son L. Thorpe (K) was born December 29, 1995, to Kenyatta A. Johnson and Keith L. Thorpe in Oxford, North Carolina.
He attended Granville County Schools. K'Son had a motivational and entrepreneurship spirit. He was employed at Fleet Feet in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. K'Son had relocated to Durham, North Carolina to reconnect with his paternal family and most recently resided in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
The most important thing to K'Son was his family. He was very protective of children especially those close to him. K'Son worked very hard to become the man he was and proud of his accomplishments. He was not a huge man, but his heart was one of pure gold. K'Son expressed self confidence in everything he did and encouraged his nieces and nephews the to do the same. His family and friends referred to him as a "classic man" because of his self-assurance and how he represented himself. K'Son was a very private person yet had an amazingly sociable personality. Music and nature allowed "K" to be free.
K'Son was preceded in death by his grandmother, Fannie M. Johnson; grandfather, Anthony W. Mann; two great grandmothers, Dora Miles-Mac and Mary Thorpe and two uncles James H. Gill and Corey Mann.
K'Son leaves to cherish his memories his mother, Kenyatta Johnson; father, Keith Thorpe; grandmother, Linda James (Craig); grandfather, Earl Miles (Cathy); five sisters, Keyonda, Shy'Keila, Akia, Makaela and his baby sister, Tynachious; four brothers, Christopher, TimO'Shawn, Jaylen and Devin; five nieces, London, Ja'Ziya, Talia, Taeliyn and Ta'Cariah; three nephews, Trevor, Carter and Bryce; ten aunts, Keisha, Samantha, Tangenia, Tonya, Bridget, Dashunda, Latoya, Lakeitha, Tasha and Oia; six uncles, Preston, Authur, Donald, Antonio, Ramone and Alston; six great aunts; eleven great uncles and a host of cousins and friends.
