Martin Douglas Sanders , third child of the late Anthony Sanders and Carmella Garrett Sanders, was born December 5, 1934, in Charleston County, South Carolina.  He peacefully departed this life December 10, 2023.

On January 24, 1964, Martin was joined in holy matrimony to Georgia Mae Hicks.  From this union four children were born: Sharon, Ronald, Dennis and Lisa.

Martin was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Walter, and Clarence, and one sister, Ida.

Left with many memories is wife, Georgia; six children, Deborah, Martin, Sharon, Ronald, Dennis and Lisa; sixteen grandchildren, Lisa, Denise, Danielle, Brandon, Sean, Sara, Lamar, Dennis II, Ronald II, Damian, Ebonee, Krystal, Jataune, Antoine, Reggie and Steven; twenty-eight great grandchildren, one sister, Clara Winns; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A family gathering will be held on December 13, 2023, at 611 Foxborough Lane, Henderson NC 27536
