Patricia Diane Hawkins was born November 2, 1955 to the late Elizabeth and Ransom Hawkins Sr.  She departed her life on June 13, 2025 at her home at the age of 69.

Patricia was baptized at an early age and joined Grove Baptist Church.  Patricia graduated from Vance Senior High.  She worked many years at Harriet and Henderson where she retired.

She was preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth and Ransom Hawkins Sr.; brothers, Jessie Hawkins, George Hawkins, James Hawkins, Glenn Hawkins, Ransom Hawkins Jr.; sisters Alice Mae Hargrove, Annie M. Hawkins; three Nephews, Jordan E. Hawkins Sr., Jordan E. Hawkins, Jr., Ernest (Gus) Hawkins; two grandsons De'Mario Perry and David Chavis.

Patricia (Lady D) leaves precious memories with her son, Ransom Hawkins IV, special friend of 37 years MacAuthur Cheek Sr.; brothers, Lynn Hawkins, Samuel Hawkins, Johnny Hawkins who we know she did not play about at all.   Bonus children Roberta Burwell (Charles), MacAuthur Cheek Jr. (Carrie), Tyrone Cheek, and Ladarris Tunstall.

She was blessed with a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of whom she loved unconditionally. She compassionately took part in each of their lives, touching and inspiring them in her own special way. She also embraced a host of nieces and nephews, treating them as her own and leaving a lasting impression on every heart she touched with her words, her love, and her laughter.

Interment will be held at the Livingstone Christian Church Cemetery,2747 NC-39 North, Henderson, NC 27537
