Patricia Ann Jones Terry was born on August 7, 1950, in Vance County, North Carolina, to the late Martha Belle Jones and James Hawkins. On the morning of May 31, 2026, God gently called her home to eternal rest.

At an early age, Patricia accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was educated in the Vance County Public School System. She dedicated more than 20 years of service as a skilled Lab Technician at J.P. Taylor. Following her retirement, she continued caring for others through her work in Home Health Care, touching countless lives with her kindness, compassion, humor, and grace.

Patricia enjoyed life to the fullest. She found joy in playing bid whist, working puzzles, and bingo. More than anything, she treasured the time spent with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends. Her warm smile, loving heart, and joyful spirit made everyone feel welcome and loved. Her sons, family and friends will greatly miss her banter, kind eyes, warm nature, and joyful spirit.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martha Belle Jones and James Hawkins.

Patricia leaves to cherish her loving memories three devoted sons: Thurman Jones of Harlem, New York; Michael Jones (Paulette); and Charlie Alston of Henderson, North Carolina; seven beloved grandchildren: Denickqua Lockley, Myrissa Alston, Vontriska Jones, Daniel Alston, Michelle Jones, Shaquana Harvey, and Tania Harvey; four treasured great-grandchildren: Carter Wilmont, Nicholas Cruz, Aslan Baggett, and Mia Alston; one sister, Lottie Hargrove of Middleburg, North Carolina, who was also her best friend; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.

I shall wear a crown when it's all over, I shall see His face when it's all over. I'm going to put on my robe and tell the story How I made it over, soon as I get home.

Viewing will be held at Baskerville Funeral Home Chapel, 104 S. Chestnut Street, Henderson, North Carolina from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Service will be held at Jones Chapel Christian Church, 339 Jones Chapel Road, Norlina, North Carolina on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. The body will lie in view one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be held at the church cemetery immediately following the service.
